As you can see, there is a lot of overlap among the types of knowledge; some are versions of each other, some cause or accompany others because of the relationship between knowing, prior knowledge, values/worldview, feelings. Sometimes the same words belong under more than one category. one reason to distnguish these types of prior/current knowledge is to be able to critically reflect upon and evaluate our own knowledge. this allows us to make decisions: keep, reject, modify, keep looking.
It is also possible to see how information and knowledge can be problematic, i.e., not clear cut, distorted, incomplete, erroneous etc. Sometimes people call these types of information ill-structured problems.
